A single wall shelf creates a fixed work surface or storage platform without floor legs, transferring the load directly to the wall structure. The bracket system is engineered to spread the weight evenly across the fixing points, preventing sag and allowing the shelf to carry the stated load safely. This method frees the floor space beneath for trolleys, bins or foot traffic, a critical advantage in a busy catering kitchen where every metre counts.
The operator mounts the shelf at the chosen height, securing it with the supplied brackets into solid wall fixings. Once installed, the shelf receives trays, containers, small appliances or ingredients directly on its flat surface. The 500 mm depth gives enough room for standard gastronorm pans or bulk storage bins while keeping the front edge within easy reach. The 2000 mm width allows multiple tasks to proceed side by side without crowding, or a single long tray to be slid along the full length.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, heat and frequent cleaning with commercial detergents. The 330 mm height from the wall to the underside of the shelf provides clearance for most wall-mounted taps, electrical sockets or backsplash tiles without interference.
The shelf is rated to support 40 kg evenly distributed across its surface. In practice this means it can hold a full gastronorm GN 1/1 tray of prepped ingredients, a row of 1 L sauce bottles, or a small countertop mixer without deflection. The load rating also determines the spacing and type of wall fixings required; professional installation into masonry or steel studs is essential to achieve the stated capacity.
Cleaning is straightforward: the smooth stainless surface can be wiped with a damp cloth or sanitised with spray detergent. There are no seams, crevices or moving parts to trap debris, so upkeep is limited to routine surface cleaning after each service period.
