Stainless steel surface for
work table, made of AISI 304.
A stainless steel table top creates a hygienic, seamless work surface that withstands daily use in professional kitchens. The flat sheet of metal is pressed into a rigid panel that resists dents, scratches and corrosion, providing a stable base for food preparation, plating and equipment placement. Its non-porous surface prevents bacteria from harbouring, allowing quick cleaning between tasks and meeting food-safety standards without additional coatings or treatments. The operator simply places the table top on a supporting frame or cupboard unit. No assembly is required beyond securing it to prevent movement during use. The smooth surface supports chopping, rolling pastry, assembling dishes or holding small appliances such as mixers or slicers. Because the metal conducts heat poorly, it remains cool to the touch even when hot pans are placed on it, reducing the risk of burns and protecting the underlying structure from heat damage. Construction consists of a pressed sandwich panel in stainless steel, formed under pressure to create a single rigid sheet. The edges are folded and welded to eliminate sharp corners and prevent liquids from seeping underneath. The underside may include reinforcing ribs or channels to add strength without increasing weight, allowing the top to span the full 1700 mm length without sagging under load. The table top measures 1700 mm long, 600 mm wide and 40 mm thick. Its footprint determines the space it occupies on the kitchen floor, while the 40 mm thickness provides enough depth for edge folding and structural integrity without adding unnecessary weight. The width of 600 mm allows two people to work side by side or accommodates standard gastronorm trays placed end to end. The seamless pressed sandwich construction lets grease and food debris slide straight into the built-in trough without seeping into seams or corners. Stubborn residues can be removed with a non-abrasive pad, avoiding steel wool or harsh chemicals that could scratch the finish. The folded edges prevent liquids from pooling, so spills can be wiped away without seeping into gaps. Regular cleaning maintains the hygienic surface and extends the life of the stainless steel. Custom versions are available to order, including cut-outs for sinks, taps, hobs or drains, curved edges, integrated shelves or mobile carts. Each variation is designed and manufactured from the customer's sketch, allowing the table top to fit specific kitchen layouts or workflow requirements.
