Stainless steel surface for work table, made of AISI 304.
A stainless steel table top creates a seamless, hygienic work surface that withstands the daily load of a professional kitchen. The flat sheet forms the top layer, while a pressed core beneath it prevents flexing under heavy pots, chopping blocks or refrigerated drawers. This sandwich construction absorbs vibration and reduces noise when equipment is moved or dropped, keeping the workspace quieter than solid plate of the same thickness.
The operator simply places the table top on a sturdy base frame or existing cupboard run. No assembly is required beyond securing it with clips or adhesive if the manufacturer recommends it. The full 2700 mm length provides continuous space for food preparation, plating or holding hot trays, while the 600 mm depth keeps everything within easy reach. A 40 mm overall height allows the top to sit flush with adjacent counters or equipment.
The surface is made from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, heat and cleaning chemicals. The pressed sandwich core is also metal, ensuring the top does not sag or warp over time. No additional materials are used in the construction.
There are no controls on the table top itself; it is a static work surface. Any taps, sinks or electrical outlets are added as custom features when the unit is ordered with cut-outs.
A length of 2700 mm suits long kitchen runs or island configurations, while 600 mm depth fits standard worktop depths without overhang. The 40 mm height matches typical counter heights, allowing seamless integration with other equipment. The pressed sandwich construction reduces the weight compared to solid plate, making the top easier to lift and position during installation.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the stainless steel surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service. The absence of seams or joints means there are no crevices where food debris can collect. For deeper cleaning, a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner removes grease and restores shine without damaging the finish.
Two standard widths are available: 650 mm and 700 mm, each with its own manufacturing tolerance. Custom versions can be produced with cut-outs for sinks, hobs, taps or shelves, as well as curved edges or drainage channels. Send a sketch of the required layout to the manufacturer for a bespoke design.
The table top is categorised as a static work surface in the Novameta professional kitchen range.
