Stainless steel surface for
work table, made of AISI 304.
A stainless steel table top creates a hygienic, durable work surface that withstands the daily demands of a professional kitchen. The pressed sandwich construction combines two layers of stainless steel with a reinforcing core, spreading the load evenly and reducing vibration and noise when equipment is placed or moved on it. This method also prevents warping and sagging over time, keeping the surface level for safe food preparation and stable appliance placement.
The table top is installed by positioning it on a supporting frame or cupboard unit, then securing it with clamps or screws through the pre-drilled fixing holes. Once in place, it provides a flat, seamless area for chopping, plating, or holding appliances such as mixers, slicers or bain-maries. The smooth stainless steel surface resists corrosion, stains and bacterial growth, and can be quickly wiped down between tasks or sanitised at the end of service.
Construction uses heavy-duty pressed sandwich stainless steel, giving a rigid, low-noise surface that absorbs the impact of dropped utensils or moving equipment. The standard dimensions of 800 mm long, 600 mm wide and 40 mm high create a compact worktop footprint that fits between existing units or against a wall, while still offering enough space for multiple tasks. The 40 mm height allows clearance for under-counter storage or appliances, and the straight edges enable seamless joining with adjacent tops to form continuous runs.
Custom versions are available with cut-outs for sinks, taps, drains or hob openings, and with shaped or curved edges to match kitchen layouts. Shelves, undershelves or mobile trolleys can also be designed and manufactured to match the table top, creating a coordinated workstation.
Cleaning involves wiping the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use, then drying to prevent water marks. For deeper cleaning, a stainless steel cleaner removes grease and restores shine without scratching. The pressed sandwich construction has no seams or crevices where dirt can collect, making maintenance straightforward and reducing the risk of cross-contamination.
The table top is categorised under professional kitchen work surfaces and custom fabrication.
