Stainless steel surface for work table, made of AISI 304.
A stainless steel table top provides a hygienic, durable work surface that withstands the demands of a busy professional kitchen. The pressed sandwich construction creates a rigid panel that resists warping and absorbs vibration, reducing noise when equipment is placed or moved across the surface. This method of manufacture also distributes weight evenly, preventing sag under heavy loads such as mixers, slicers or stacked trays.
The table top is installed directly onto a supporting frame or existing cabinetry. Once in place, it forms a seamless work area where chefs can prep, plate and assemble dishes without risk of contamination from wood grain or laminate seams. The stainless steel surface is non-porous, so spills remain on top and are easily wiped away, while the pressed construction eliminates internal voids where bacteria could collect.
To use, simply position the table top on the chosen support and secure it according to the manufacturer's instructions. The smooth surface is ready for immediate work, with no seasoning or treatment required. When cleaning, a damp cloth and mild detergent remove most residues; for stubborn marks, a stainless steel cleaner restores the original finish without damaging the pressed sandwich core.
Constructed from stainless steel, the table top resists corrosion, heat and impact. The pressed sandwich design combines two outer skins with a reinforced internal layer, giving strength without excessive weight. The edges are rolled to prevent sharp corners and improve durability.
The table top measures 900 mm in length, 600 mm in depth and 40 mm in height. This footprint provides ample space for food preparation while fitting within standard kitchen layouts. The 40 mm height allows for easy integration with existing equipment and under-counter storage.
Two width options are available: 650 mm with a 3% tolerance or 700 mm with a 5% tolerance. The heavy-duty pressed sandwich construction is also offered as an upgrade, providing additional rigidity and noise reduction for high-traffic environments.
Custom designs are available for non-standard layouts. Openings for sinks, drains or hobs, curved edges, integrated shelves and mobile carts can be manufactured to order. Sketches should be sent to the supplier for design and quotation.
The table top is categorised as a work surface in the Novameta professional catering equipment range.
