BHS stainless steel shelf for equipment placement. Durable construction, available in various sizes, manufactured according to individual drawings and projects.
A stainless steel wall shelf fixes professional catering equipment at worktop height, freeing the work surface below for food preparation and keeping appliances within easy reach. The shelf is mounted on two brackets secured to the wall, distributing the weight evenly and preventing sag. Stainless steel resists moisture, grease and cleaning chemicals, so the shelf stays hygienic and does not corrode under daily use in a busy kitchen.
The operator fits the shelf by marking the bracket positions on the wall, drilling and plugging the holes, then bolting the brackets in place. Once the shelf is laid across the brackets it is levelled and fixed with screws. Equipment is placed directly on the shelf; no additional support is needed up to the stated load.
Construction is a single flat shelf of stainless steel, 700 mm long and 500 mm deep, with a turned-down front edge to stop items sliding off. Two wall brackets of the same material support the shelf from below. The 333 mm height from floor to shelf gives clearance for most counter-top appliances while keeping them at a comfortable working height.
Controls are limited to the fixing screws that secure the shelf to the brackets and the brackets to the wall. These screws are tightened once during installation and checked periodically to ensure the shelf remains level and secure.
A 50 kg load capacity allows the shelf to carry heavy-duty mixers, slicers or bain-maries without bending. The 700 mm length accommodates most counter-top appliances side by side, while the 500 mm depth leaves room for cables and connections at the back. The 333 mm height clears the worktop below, so staff can work underneath without obstruction.
Cleaning is straightforward: the shelf is wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each shift. Stainless steel does not absorb grease or harbour bacteria, so a quick wipe is enough to meet hygiene standards. The turned-down front edge prevents spills from dripping onto the floor, making the area easier to keep clean.
Variants are available in different lengths and widths to match specific kitchen layouts. Custom sizes can be manufactured to individual drawings and projects, ensuring the shelf fits the space and the equipment exactly.
The shelf is listed in the Novameta catalogue under storage and worktop accessories for professional catering environments.
