BHS stainless steel shelf for equipment placement. Durable construction, available in various sizes, manufactured according to individual drawings and projects.
A stainless steel wall shelf holds professional catering equipment above the worktop, keeping the surface clear while placing appliances within easy reach. The shelf is fixed to the wall with brackets, transferring the weight directly to the masonry rather than the cupboard below. This arrangement frees floor space and allows the operator to load or unload the appliance without bending or lifting from the floor.
The shelf is a single flat tray of stainless steel, supported at two points by wall brackets. The tray itself does not bend under the load because the steel is thick enough to span the distance between the brackets without sagging. The brackets are spaced to match the width of the shelf, so the weight is spread evenly across the wall fixings. Once mounted, the shelf remains level and stable, even when the equipment is moved or adjusted.
To use the shelf, first secure the brackets to a solid wall at the correct spacing. Slide the tray onto the brackets until it clicks into place. Place the equipment on the tray, ensuring the weight does not exceed the stated capacity. The equipment can then be plugged in, switched on and operated from the shelf without any movement or vibration. When the appliance is no longer needed, it can be lifted off the shelf and stored elsewhere, leaving the shelf ready for the next task.
The shelf is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to moisture, corrosion and daily cleaning chemicals. The surface is smooth and seamless, with no crevices where food debris or bacteria can collect. The brackets are also stainless steel, matching the tray in material and finish.
The shelf measures 500 mm in length, 500 mm in width and 333 mm in height from the wall. It is supported by two wall brackets. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, which determines the weight of equipment that can be placed on the shelf without risk of bending or detachment.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the tray and brackets with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The stainless steel surface does not absorb stains or odours, so regular wiping is sufficient to maintain hygiene. No disassembly is required for cleaning, as the tray can be wiped in place.
Other sizes are available, allowing the shelf to be matched to the dimensions of the equipment or the space available. Custom sizes can also be manufactured to individual drawings or project specifications, ensuring the shelf fits precisely into the intended location.
The shelf is categorised under wall-mounted storage solutions for professional kitchens and food production facilities.
