Novameta Stainless Steel Wheels Set 125 mm with Brakes

A set of two stainless steel wheels, each 125 mm in diameter, fitted with brakes to secure mobile shelving units in place. These castors replace worn or damaged wheels on Novameta shelving systems, restoring smooth movement across kitchen floors while allowing the unit to be locked when stationary.

Wheels of this type use a central axle mounted in a fork, which swivels to follow the direction of push. The brake presses a pad against the wheel's tread, stopping rotation and preventing the shelf from rolling. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion from spills and cleaning chemicals, extending service life in professional kitchens.

To fit the wheels, the operator lifts the shelf corner, removes the old wheel assembly, aligns the new castor with the mounting plate, and secures it with the supplied fasteners. Once both wheels are installed, the brakes are tested to ensure they hold the shelf firmly in position.

Each wheel is 125 mm in diameter, a size that balances load capacity with manoeuvrability. The stainless steel material ensures the wheels remain free of rust and maintain a hygienic surface. The inclusion of brakes allows the shelf to be immobilised when needed, preventing unintended movement during use.
