Metal table with two shelves made of stainless steel AISI 304.
A stainless steel worktable with two shelves provides a stable, hygienic surface for food preparation, plating and holding equipment in a professional kitchen. The flat top and lower shelves create organised work zones, keeping ingredients, tools and finished dishes within reach without cluttering the worktop. Shelves distribute weight evenly, allowing heavy pots, trays or appliances to be stored safely off the floor while maintaining a clear workflow beneath the main work surface.
The table stands on adjustable feet, allowing the operator to level it on uneven floors or raise the height by up to 40 mm to match adjacent counters or hobs. Once positioned, the feet lock, preventing movement during use. The top shelf is loaded first, typically with lighter items such as containers, utensils or small appliances, while the lower shelf holds heavier equipment like stock pots or bulk ingredients. The open design beneath the shelves allows easy cleaning and inspection of the floor area.
Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, the table resists corrosion, staining and heat, making it suitable for wet or high-temperature environments. The material is non-porous, preventing bacterial growth and allowing quick sanitisation with standard kitchen cleaners. The shelves and frame are welded for strength, with no seams or crevices that could trap food debris.
The table is supplied in two standard widths: 650 mm with a 3% tolerance and 700 mm with a 5% tolerance. The overall dimensions of 3200 mm length, 600 mm width and 900 mm height provide a large work surface while fitting within the footprint of a commercial kitchen aisle. The 900 mm height is standard for worktops, aligning with sinks, hobs and other equipment to create a continuous work line.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, followed by a sanitising rinse. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure stability, and the shelves inspected for any signs of wear or damage. The open design beneath the shelves allows for easy access to the floor area, which should be swept or mopped regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
The table can be customised to individual kitchen requirements, including bespoke dimensions and design modifications, through consultation with Novameta specialists. This allows the unit to integrate seamlessly with existing kitchen layouts or specific workflows.
