| NOTES | swing lock on bothes sides |
A swing lock secures the doors of mobile trolleys during transport and service. The mechanism pivots on a central pin, allowing the operator to swing the latch into place and lock it with a simple turn. This design keeps the doors firmly closed without relying on external clips or straps, reducing the risk of accidental opening while the trolley is moved through kitchens, corridors or service lifts.
The Novameta A-VT-U2 swing lock is fitted on both sides of the trolley, so the operator can open or close the door from either direction. This symmetrical arrangement speeds up loading and unloading, especially in tight spaces where access is limited to one side at a time.
To use the lock, the operator swings the latch arm outwards, opens the trolley door, loads or unloads the contents, then closes the door and swings the latch back into the locked position. The action is quick and requires no tools, making it practical for repeated use during service.
The lock is constructed from durable materials designed to withstand frequent operation and the weight of loaded trolleys. It is surface-mounted, so installation does not require cutting into the trolley frame, preserving the integrity of the original structure.
This swing lock is compatible with Novameta VTGN, VTGD (single trolleys only), VTGZ, VTT and VTB trolleys, providing a standardised fastening solution across the range. It is listed in the catalogue under trolley accessories and fittings.
