A stainless steel table top provides a stable, hygienic work surface for bar stations where drinks are prepared, garnished and served. The flat sheet of metal is cut to size, finished with smooth edges and mounted on a supporting frame or cupboard unit. Its primary function is to hold bottles, glassware, ice bins and mixing tools without sagging or absorbing spills, while allowing quick wipe-down between shifts.
The 2500 mm length spans the width of a typical under-bar run, creating continuous workspace for multiple bar staff. A 650 mm depth gives room for two rows of bottles or a row of glasses behind a row of shakers and jiggers. The 40 mm thickness ensures the top remains rigid under the weight of filled bottles and prevents flexing when staff lean on the edge during service.
To use the table top, the supporting frame or cupboard is assembled first. The top is then lowered onto the frame, aligned with the front edge and secured with the fixings provided. Once level, the surface is ready for bar equipment to be arranged. During service, the stainless steel surface is wiped with a damp cloth and sanitiser to remove spills and condensation. After closing, the top is cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner to maintain the finish and prevent corrosion.
The table top is made from AISI 304 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its resistance to corrosion from water, alcohol and cleaning chemicals. The edges are folded and welded to eliminate sharp corners, and the surface is polished to a satin finish that hides minor scratches and fingerprints.
The 2500 mm length suits standard under-bar runs and can be cut to fit shorter spaces if required. The 650 mm depth allows for two-tier storage beneath the top, maximising the use of vertical space in compact bars. The 40 mm thickness provides structural stability without adding unnecessary weight to the supporting frame.
This table top is categorised as a bar station accessory and is designed to fit Novameta under-bar frames and cupboard units.
