This wall-mounted worktop provides a stable surface that can be adjusted to different heights. It attaches directly to the wall, leaving the floor clear for storage or movement. The mechanical adjustment system allows the worktop to be raised or lowered without tools, helping to reduce strain on staff during tasks like food preparation or cleaning. The same space can be adapted for multiple uses throughout a shift.
The Novameta BHS-XRV-200/60/76 model features a straightforward height adjustment mechanism. The operator lifts the worktop slightly to release the locking pins, slides it to the desired position, and lowers it to secure the pins in place. No power or compressed air is needed, ensuring the table remains functional during outages and requires minimal upkeep, such as occasional lubrication of moving parts.
To adjust the height, the operator checks that the locking pins are fully engaged before placing items on the surface. When a change is needed, the front edge is lifted to release the pins, the worktop is slid to the next set of holes, and it is lowered until the pins lock into place. This process is quick and can be repeated as often as required.
The worktop is made from stainless steel, offering resistance to corrosion, heat, and cleaning chemicals. An aluminium frame reinforces the underside, transferring the weight to the wall brackets. These brackets are constructed from galvanised steel and secured with heavy-duty anchors, ensuring stability even under full load.
Two standardised height settings are available: 650 mm and 700 mm, each with a small tolerance to accommodate installation variations. These heights are selected to suit ergonomic needs for standing tasks, such as food preparation or plating.
The worktop measures 2000 mm in length, 600 mm in depth, and has a maximum height of 760 mm. The length provides ample space for multiple tasks or large trays, while the depth allows for comfortable reach without obstructing walkways. The maximum height ensures compatibility with standard overhead cupboards or extractor hoods.
Cleaning is simple: the stainless steel surface can be wiped with a damp cloth and sanitiser after use. The adjustment mechanism should be kept free of debris and occasionally lubricated with food-safe grease. The wall brackets and frame require no regular maintenance beyond checking that fixings remain tight.
This model is part of the Novameta professional catering range, designed for preparation surfaces.
