A wall-mounted stainless steel worktop creates a fixed preparation surface that clears floor space in a busy kitchen. The unit bolts directly to the wall, transferring the weight of ingredients, utensils and small appliances through the frame into the building structure. This arrangement leaves the floor underneath free for cleaning or for mobile equipment to be rolled in and out without obstruction.
The worktop provides a flat, rigid surface that resists bending under load. A pressed sandwich construction combines two thin sheets of stainless steel with a reinforcing core, giving strength without excessive weight. The welded frame of 25 × 50 mm stainless steel tube forms a rigid rectangle that keeps the top level and square. A grid shelf beneath the worktop holds trays, pans or ingredients within easy reach, doubling the usable area without increasing the footprint.
To install, the frame is positioned against the wall at the desired height, marked, drilled and secured with heavy-duty fixings. The worktop is then lowered onto the frame and bolted through pre-drilled holes. Once fixed, the operator loads the surface evenly up to the 120 kg maximum. The grid shelf is loaded separately, keeping frequently used items close to hand while leaving the main worktop clear for active tasks.
The construction uses stainless steel throughout, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, staining and heat. The pressed sandwich top is easy to wipe clean, while the tubular frame and grid shelf allow air to circulate, reducing the risk of trapped moisture. The frame is welded at every joint, eliminating crevices where dirt could accumulate. An optional upstand along the back edge prevents spills from running onto the wall.
Controls are limited to the mechanical fixings that secure the unit to the wall; once installed, no adjustments are needed. The 2000 mm length provides a continuous run for multiple tasks, while the 600 mm depth keeps everything within arm's reach. The 750 mm height is standard for standing work, matching the height of most hobs, sinks and other fixed equipment.
The 120 kg load rating applies to an evenly distributed weight; concentrated loads such as a heavy mixer or stockpot must be placed over the frame tubes. The 2000 × 600 mm footprint defines the space the unit occupies on the wall, while the 750 mm height determines the clearance needed above the floor. The welded frame and pressed sandwich top require no maintenance beyond regular cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
Two widths are available: 650 mm and 700 mm, each with its own tolerance. The grid shelf is included as standard, while the upstand is optional. The unit is categorised as a mounted table in the Novameta professional catering range.
