BHS stainless steel shelf for equipment placement. Durable construction, available in various sizes, manufactured according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted shelf creates a secure, elevated platform for heavy catering appliances without occupying floor space. The shelf is fixed to the wall with brackets, transferring the weight directly to the building structure. This method eliminates the need for legs or a base, leaving the area beneath clear for cleaning, storage or movement. The elevated position also raises equipment to a comfortable working height, reducing strain on staff during frequent use.
The operator installs the shelf by marking the bracket positions on the wall, drilling and fixing the brackets with suitable anchors. Once the brackets are level and secure, the shelf is placed on top and fastened. Equipment is then positioned on the shelf, ensuring the total weight does not exceed the stated capacity. The shelf remains in place, ready for daily use, with no further adjustment required.
The shelf is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to moisture, corrosion and frequent cleaning. The material meets hygiene standards for commercial kitchens and food production, where surfaces must withstand regular sanitisation without degrading. The single shelf is supported by three wall brackets, distributing the load evenly and preventing sagging under heavy appliances.
The 50 kg load capacity indicates the maximum weight the shelf can safely support when properly installed. This rating allows the shelf to hold professional appliances such as mixers, blenders or small ovens, provided the combined weight stays within the limit. The 1700 mm length provides ample space for multiple items or a single large appliance, while the 300 mm depth offers stability without protruding excessively from the wall. The 333 mm height from the wall to the shelf surface determines the clearance beneath for cleaning or storage.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the finish. The brackets and fixings should be checked periodically to ensure they remain tight and secure, particularly in environments with high vibration or frequent movement of equipment.
Variants in different lengths and widths are available, and custom manufacturing according to individual drawings is possible to fit specific premises or operational requirements.
