BHS stainless steel shelf for equipment placement. Durable construction, available in various sizes, manufactured according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted shelf frees worktop space in a professional kitchen by carrying equipment off the floor. Two brackets bolt to the wall, holding a single flat shelf that spreads the weight evenly. The shelf does not move, so it supports appliances that must stay level and secure: mixers, processors, holding units and small ovens. The fixed position also keeps the load within reach without stretching or bending, reducing strain on the operator during repeated use.
The operator first marks the wall at the chosen height, ensuring the brackets align with wall studs or masonry anchors. Once the brackets are fixed, the shelf slides onto them and is secured with screws or locking pins. Equipment is then placed on the shelf, keeping the load centred to avoid tilting. The shelf remains in place indefinitely, requiring only periodic checks that the brackets stay tight and the shelf surface is clear of debris.
The shelf is made of stainless steel, a material that resists moisture, grease and cleaning chemicals without corroding or staining. The surface is smooth, so spills wipe away without leaving residue that could harbour bacteria. The brackets are also stainless steel, matching the shelf in strength and hygiene.
The shelf measures 600 mm long, 400 mm deep and 333 mm high from the wall. The 50 kg load capacity allows it to carry most countertop appliances without risk of bending or collapse. The two-bracket design distributes the weight across the wall, preventing concentrated stress that could loosen fixings over time.
Cleaning is straightforward: the shelf and brackets are wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dried to prevent water spots. No disassembly is needed, and no moving parts require lubrication or adjustment.
Additional sizes are available, and custom dimensions can be manufactured to fit specific kitchen layouts or equipment requirements. The shelf is categorised under storage and organisation solutions for professional catering environments.
