BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
A single-level wall-mounted shelf system secures heavy kitchen tools, ingredients or utensils directly above the worktop without occupying floor space. The shelf is fixed to the wall with three stainless-steel brackets, distributing the weight evenly across the full length so that the 50 kg load capacity can be used without sagging or shifting.
The shelf itself is a flat stainless-steel tray that rests on the brackets. No moving parts are involved; the system relies on the rigidity of the tray and the strength of the wall fixings. Because the shelf is open underneath, air circulates freely, reducing condensation and making the surface easier to clean. The tray's shallow lip keeps items from sliding off while allowing quick access from either side.
Installation begins by marking the wall at the chosen height, drilling pilot holes, and securing the brackets with the supplied fixings. The shelf tray is then lowered onto the brackets and locked in place with the integrated clips. Once mounted, the shelf is ready for immediate use; no levelling or adjustment is required.
The entire assembly is made of stainless steel, including the brackets, tray and fixing hardware. Stainless steel resists corrosion from steam, cleaning chemicals and food acids, so the shelf maintains its appearance and hygiene standards even in high-moisture environments. The smooth, non-porous surface can be wiped down with a cloth or sanitised with standard kitchen sprays without leaving stains or harbouring bacteria.
Controls are not applicable; the system is purely mechanical. The only specification the operator sets is the height at which the shelf is mounted, chosen to suit the workflow and reach of the staff.
A 2000 mm length provides ample linear storage for a full section of a professional kitchen, while the 500 mm depth allows items to be placed two abreast without overhanging the worktop below. The 300 mm height from the wall to the underside of the shelf gives clearance for larger containers or stacked trays. The 50 kg load rating means the shelf can hold bulk ingredients, heavy pots or multiple smaller items without risk of deformation.
Cleaning is straightforward: remove all items, wipe the tray and brackets with a damp cloth, then dry to prevent water spots. No disassembly is needed, and no special tools or detergents are required.
The system is available in other lengths and depths to match different wall spaces and workflows. Custom sizes can be manufactured to individual drawings or project requirements, including bespoke mounting heights and additional brackets for heavier loads.
The shelf is categorised under professional wall-mounted storage systems for catering and food production environments.
