A welded speed rack keeps ingredients, utensils and small equipment within arm's reach while keeping the worktop clear. The open frame and shallow depth let staff slide trays, bins or containers on and off without lifting, so the next item is always ready before the last one is put away. This cuts walking time and keeps the workflow moving during service.
The rack stands on four legs that form a rigid rectangle. Horizontal cross-bars tie the legs together and support the shelves. Because the frame is welded, it does not wobble or rack under load, and the shelves stay level even when fully loaded. The shallow 240 mm depth means everything on the shelf is visible and reachable from the front, so nothing is buried at the back.
To use the rack, the operator slides containers or trays onto the shelves from the front. Each shelf holds one row of items side by side, so the contents of every shelf are visible at a glance. The open sides and back allow air to circulate, which helps keep stored items at a stable temperature and reduces condensation.
The frame is constructed from mild steel tubing welded at every joint. The finish is a baked epoxy powder coat that resists chipping and corrosion in a busy kitchen. There are no moving parts, so the rack requires no adjustment or lubrication.
The 600 mm width allows two standard gastronorm trays or two full-size sheet pans to sit side by side on each shelf. The 340 mm height gives enough clearance for most containers without wasting vertical space. The footprint of 600 mm by 240 mm fits neatly against a wall or between workstations, so it does not block aisles.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the shelves and frame with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The welded joints have no crevices where dirt can collect, and the powder-coated finish does not absorb grease or moisture.
This is the double-width welded speed rack in the Novameta range, designed for medium-volume storage in professional kitchens.
