The Z-HASP 2300 air supply unit provides low-speed laminar air delivery in professional kitchens. It improves extraction efficiency and reduces heat and steam spreading in the workspace. The stainless steel construction is durable and easy to maintain. BHS recommends this solution for high-intensity cooking areas.
An air supply unit delivers controlled, low-velocity air directly above cooking zones to create a stable work environment. Instead of random draughts, a laminar flow moves in parallel layers, reducing turbulence that can scatter steam and grease. This steady stream supports extraction hoods by guiding contaminants upward, preventing them from spreading across the kitchen. The result is a cooler, cleaner workspace with less heat build-up and fewer airborne particles settling on surfaces or equipment.
The operator mounts the unit above the worktop, either integrated into an extraction hood or as a standalone ceiling or wall installation. Once powered, the perforated front panel distributes air evenly along its full length, maintaining consistent coverage across the cooking area. Optional dampers allow fine-tuning of airflow to match the kitchen's specific heat and steam output, while LED lighting can be added to illuminate the workspace below.
Constructed from stainless steel, the unit resists corrosion and withstands the high humidity and grease typical of professional kitchens. The smooth, pocket-free interior prevents dirt accumulation, simplifying cleaning. An optional powder-coated exterior can be specified to match the kitchen's design or project requirements.
The 2300 mm length fits standard island or wall hood configurations, while the 300 mm width and 480 mm height keep the unit compact without sacrificing airflow capacity. Three 250 mm supply collars connect to ductwork, ensuring efficient air delivery across the entire cooking zone.
In practice, the laminar flow stabilises temperature and humidity, reducing the strain on extraction systems and improving overall ventilation efficiency. This leads to a more comfortable working environment, particularly during long shifts or in high-volume kitchens where heat and steam are constant challenges.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces and removing any grease build-up from the perforated panel. The smooth design minimises trapped dirt, making maintenance straightforward and reducing the risk of bacterial growth.
Optional features include LED lighting for task illumination, airflow dampers for precise control, and a powder-coated finish for aesthetic integration into the kitchen design.
The unit is designed for integration with Baltic HoReCa Solutions extraction systems, ensuring compatibility with their island hoods, wall hoods, and standalone ventilation setups. It is suitable for open kitchens, production facilities, and high-intensity environments where air quality and temperature stability are critical.
