Gas gyros-grill LPG (PG1502) or natural gas (PG1503)
A gas gyros maker rotates a vertical skewer of stacked meat in front of a gas flame, exposing every slice to direct radiant heat. The flame chars the outer surface while the rotation keeps the interior from drying out, producing the crisp exterior and juicy centre that define gyros. The skewer turns continuously, so the operator does not need to reposition the meat; the heat source remains fixed, concentrating energy where it is needed most.
Load the skewer from the top, stacking meat slices up to 810 mm high. The skewer plate at the base holds the weight and keeps the stack aligned. A perforated fat tray beneath catches drippings, preventing flare-ups and simplifying cleaning. Once the stack reaches the maximum 120 kg, ignite the gas burner. The 17.5 kW flame heats the air around the skewer, and the rotation ensures even cooking without manual intervention. When the meat is done, slice directly from the stack while it continues to turn, maintaining a steady supply for service.
The unit is built in stainless steel for hygiene and durability in a busy kitchen. The fat tray and perforated sheet are removable for daily cleaning. The skewer itself is 1080 mm long, matching the height of the unit when the motor is fitted. Two versions are available: one for LPG (article PG1502) and one for natural gas (article PG1503). The gas connection is the only power requirement; no electrical supply is needed.
The 17.5 kW gas load demands a dedicated gas line capable of delivering the required flow. The footprint of 660 mm by 600 mm fits a standard worktop or floor space, while the 1310 mm height allows stacking up to the maximum meat load without exceeding kitchen clearance. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and withstands frequent washing. The fat tray collects drippings, reducing the risk of grease fires and making end-of-shift cleaning straightforward.
Cleaning involves removing the fat tray and perforated sheet, washing them separately, and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces. The skewer can be lifted out for thorough cleaning. No additional tools are required for disassembly. The unit is designed for continuous use in professional catering environments, where large volumes of gyros are prepared daily.
