| NOTES | N° Halogen lamps : 2 |
Halogen lamps with independent lighting switch, white light.
A heated countertop display that keeps plated dishes at serving temperature without moisture loss uses halogen lamps positioned beneath a tempered glass worktop. The lamps emit infrared energy that passes through the glass and warms the plates and food above, while the glass itself remains cool to the touch. This dry-heating method prevents condensation and keeps food textures intact, making it suitable for buffet lines where dishes must stay warm for extended periods.
The operator places up to three GN1/1 gastronorm pans directly on the glass surface, sets the digital thermostat to the desired temperature between 0 °C and +90 °C, and switches on the halogen lamps with the independent lighting control. The lamps provide both heat and white illumination, so the food remains visible to customers while it is kept warm. A laminated wood sneeze guard above the worktop shields the pans from airborne particles without obstructing the view.
The unit is built on a laminated wood frame with a stainless steel undercarriage that supports the tempered glass top. The frame is finished in a choice of custom colours, allowing the display to match the kitchen's existing decor. Four reinforced steel castors—two with brakes—allow the unit to be moved into position and secured. The power cable terminates in an industrial plug rated for the 230 V supply.
A power rating of 1.763 kW indicates the load the unit places on the circuit; in a professional kitchen this typically requires a dedicated spur. The temperature range of 0 °C to +90 °C covers holding, proofing and gentle reheating, but excludes deep frying or baking. The 152 kg weight means the unit must be positioned on a level, load-bearing floor and moved with a trolley or pallet jack. The footprint of 1174 mm by 747 mm determines the space it occupies on the worktop or floor.
Cleaning involves wiping the tempered glass surface with a damp cloth after each service, while the halogen lamps and digital thermostat require occasional dusting with a dry microfibre cloth. The laminated wood frame can be cleaned with a mild detergent solution, taking care not to saturate the material. The stainless steel castors should be checked periodically for debris that could impede movement.
Optional accessories include foldable dish holders in laminated wood or stainless steel, removable tray slides, an intermediate refrigerated compartment, and custom upper shelves. Each accessory is specified by code and can be added at the time of order to tailor the unit to the kitchen's workflow.
