ROCAM ATHENA 5-Piece Halogen Heated Countertop Display

A heated countertop display designed to maintain plated dishes at serving temperature using halogen lamps positioned beneath a tempered-glass surface. The lamps produce radiant heat, warming the glass evenly to create a consistent, dry heat zone above it. This approach prevents the drying effect of forced air, ensuring uniform warmth across the entire surface without hot or cold spots for every dish placed on it.

The unit accommodates up to five GN1/1 gastronorm trays on the glass. A fixed plexiglass sneezeguard at the back protects food from airborne particles and customer contact. Four halogen lamps under the glass are activated, and the temperature is adjusted between 0 °C and +90 °C via the front control panel. Once the desired setting is reached, the glass surface radiates heat upwards, keeping the trays warm until they are served.

Constructed on a laminated-wood frame, the unit features a rear mirror to enhance visual depth and support an upper shelf. The tempered-glass top serves as the main work surface, while the structure below can be customised with optional accessories such as foldable dish holders, tray slides, refrigerated compartments, or castors. The standard configuration includes two polyamide wheels with brakes for mobility, LED lighting within the display area, and a 230 V electrical connection.

Front-panel controls allow temperature adjustment within the 0 °C to +90 °C range. The 3.023 kW power rating reflects the electrical load, requiring a dedicated supply in a commercial kitchen. Weighing 199 kg, the countertop is designed to be moved on its castors rather than lifted, and its 1824 mm width determines the space it occupies on the serving line. The packing size dictates the crate dimensions for transport and storage.

Maintenance involves wiping the tempered-glass surface with a damp cloth after the lamps have cooled. The plexiglass sneezeguard can be removed for thorough cleaning, and halogen lamps are accessible from beneath for replacement. Optional accessories, such as dish holders and tray slides, are detachable for separate cleaning.

The ATHENA 5 pc/HALO W is available in a variety of custom colours, including silver, rose, saffron, lime, sky, ocean, ivy, sage, cappuccino, clay, grey, Niagara, veined white, white sand, birch, grey fog, elm, walnut, wenge, anthracite, and veined black. Optional accessories range from laminated-wood or stainless-steel dish holders and tray slides to refrigerated compartments, castors, intermediate shelves, and custom adhesive stickers.
