ROCAM HELIOS 1/1 FIX P1 carving station with infrared lamp

A carving station keeps meat and gravy at serving temperature without drying or overcooking. The ROCAM HELIOS 1/1 FIX P1 combines a heated warming plate with an infrared lamp. The plate uses a low-wattage element beneath a metal surface; the thermostat cycles the heat to hold the set temperature between +30 °C and +90 °C. Above it, the infrared lamp emits radiant heat that warms the top of the meat and keeps the gravy fluid without direct contact. The two sources work together: the plate prevents the base from cooling while the lamp prevents a skin forming on the surface.

The operator places the joint on the GN 1/1 tray, adjusts the thermostat knob to the desired temperature, and switches on the lamp. A red indicator light shows the plate is heating; a separate switch controls the lamp. The acrylic glass sneezeguard shields the food from airborne particles and reduces heat loss. When carving is complete, the joint can be left on the plate for service or moved to a hot cupboard.

The frame and warming plate are AISI 304 stainless steel with a chromed finish. The infrared lamp is mounted on a ball joint so the beam can be angled over the meat. A classic P1 design lampshade directs the heat downward and protects the bulb.

The unit runs on a 230 V single-phase supply, drawing 1 kW. The footprint of 540 × 447 mm fits a standard GN 1/1 tray and leaves space for carving tools on the worktop. The 17 kg weight allows one person to move it with a trolley.

Cleaning follows the materials: the stainless-steel surfaces and acrylic sneezeguard wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The infrared lamp should be switched off and allowed to cool before cleaning; the shade can be removed for thorough washing.

Variants include a white or red infrared lamp and three warming-plate coverings: stainless steel, porcelain stoneware lava, or porcelain stoneware oxide. A UK plug is available as an option.
