ROCAM PLEIADI R Room Service Table for Hot Boxes

A room service table built to carry hot boxes through narrow corridors and tight doorways without spilling or marking walls. The table top swivels aside when not in use, freeing floor space in service areas and storage cupboards.

The principle is a stable, low-slung trolley that keeps the load close to the floor. Four large castors spread the weight and allow the table to pivot in place, while two of them lock to hold the trolley steady during loading and unloading. The chrome-plated steel frame resists corrosion from steam and cleaning chemicals, and the rounded edge of the top prevents scuffs on walls and door frames.

To use the table, the operator folds down the two side flaps, wheels the trolley to the kitchen, and locks the brakes. The hot boxes are placed on the lower shelf beneath the swivel top, then the side flaps are raised and secured. The top is rotated back into position, covering the hot boxes and creating a flat work surface for trays, cutlery or condiments. Once loaded, the brakes are released and the trolley is wheeled to the guest room. On arrival, the brakes are locked again, the top is swivelled aside, and the hot boxes are removed.

The table top is a 90 cm disc of hydrophobic, fireproof Compact Density Fibreboard (CDF) with a scratch- and impact-resistant multilayer finish. The two side flaps fold up to reduce the width, allowing the trolley to pass through standard doorways and lifts. The frame is chrome-plated steel tubing, and the four 125 mm castors include two with brakes.

The 17 kg weight keeps the trolley stable under load while still light enough for one person to manoeuvre. The packed dimensions of 105 × 60 × 35 mm allow the table to be stored flat against a wall or in a cupboard when not in use.

The table is designed to hold up to two ROCAM PLEIADI hot boxes (T, REF or N models) beneath the swivel top. The hot boxes themselves are not included.
