ROCAM Refrigerated Stainless Steel Countertop DROP-IN-4PR-IN

A refrigerated countertop drop-in unit keeps four GN 1/1 containers chilled directly on the work surface, ready for service without opening a separate door. The static cooling system uses a compressor to circulate refrigerant gas through coils beneath the stainless steel top. As the gas expands and contracts, it absorbs heat from the food pans, lowering their temperature to the set range. This method maintains steady, even cooling without forced air, reducing dehydration of uncovered dishes and simplifying cleaning around the pans.

The operator places the GN containers into the four cut-outs in the worktop. A digital thermostat on the front panel is set to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C. Once powered, the compressor starts automatically, cycling on and off to hold the temperature. The containers remain accessible from above, allowing staff to serve directly from the counter without lifting lids or opening doors. When service ends, the containers are removed, and the worktop can be wiped down.

The unit is built as a moulded stainless steel worktop with rounded edges for easy cleaning. The refrigeration system runs on R290 gas, a hydrocarbon refrigerant with low environmental impact. Power is supplied at 230 V, suitable for a standard single-phase kitchen circuit. The external dimensions of 1496 mm wide, 747 mm deep and 471 mm high fit a standard counter, while the top cut-outs measure 1300 mm by 521 mm to hold the four GN 1/1 containers. The unit weighs 32 kg, allowing it to be moved by two people without a trolley.

A digital thermostat controls the temperature, adjustable within the +2 °C to +10 °C range. The power draw of 0.330 kW may increase if LED lighting is added as an optional extra.

The worktop and refrigeration components can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The rounded edges prevent dirt from collecting, and the static cooling system avoids fans that can trap grease. The refrigerant gas is sealed within the system and does not require routine maintenance.

Two refrigeration variants are available: one with the compressor built into the unit, and another designed for remote refrigeration, where the compressor is installed separately. Optional accessories include LED lighting, tempered glass sneeze-guards in straight or inclined designs, closed glass displays for assisted service, removable display grids, and spacers for GN tanks. A drain water system for cam units and a 60 Hz compressor option are also available for specific installations.
