A smooth enamelled steel plate transfers direct heat to meat, fish, vegetables and eggs, turning a compact worktop into a high-output grill station. Gas flames heat two Incoloy elements beneath the plate; the elements radiate heat evenly across the entire surface, eliminating cold spots and ensuring consistent cooking without edge loss. The thick steel plate retains and distributes the heat, so each item receives the same temperature whether it is placed at the front or the back.
The operator lights the grill, sets the two independent zone controls to the desired temperatures and waits eight minutes for the plate to reach an even heat. Once preheated, food is laid directly on the smooth surface; metal spatulas slide easily under burgers, sausages or fried eggs without scratching the enamel. Juices and fat run off the plate into a removable stainless-steel drip tray that slides out for emptying and cleaning. After service, the still-hot plate can be cooled quickly with cold water or ice cubes, speeding up kitchen close-down.
The grill is built as a stainless-steel body 400 mm deep, 700 mm wide and 250 mm high, with a 10 mm enamelled steel cooking plate measuring 365 by 545 mm. Two coil-shaped Incoloy heating elements, each rated at 3 kW total, sit beneath the plate. Three safety thermocouples monitor the gas supply; if a leak or malfunction is detected, the grill automatically shuts off.
Each of the two cooking zones can be set to a different temperature, allowing meat to sear at the back while vegetables stew at the front. The 6.4 kW power rating means the grill draws a steady load on a commercial gas line, suitable for continuous service in food trucks, takeaway kiosks or small restaurant kitchens. At 31 kg, the unit is light enough to be moved by two staff but stable enough to stay in place on a worktop.
Cleaning is straightforward: the enamelled plate resists sticking and can be wiped with a damp cloth once cool. The removable drip tray is dishwasher-safe, and the stainless-steel body can be wiped down with standard kitchen sanitiser. No additional maintenance is required beyond routine checks of the gas connections and thermocouples.
The PGD700 is listed in the Roller-grill catalogue under compact gas grills for space-saving kitchens.
