A gas griddle surface transfers heat directly from stainless steel burners to a thick steel plate, creating an even cooking area that sears and grills without open flames. The burners sit beneath the plate, heating it from below so the entire surface reaches and holds temperature. This method gives consistent results across the plate, allowing multiple items to cook at once without hot or cold spots.

The operator lights the burners, adjusts the flame on each of the three separate controls, and places food directly onto the 760 by 400 mm baking surface. The 15 mm thick steel plate retains heat and distributes it evenly, while the raised edge around the perimeter keeps food and juices on the plate. A removable drip tray beneath the plate collects excess fat and liquid for easy disposal.

The SPC-801 is built with a stainless steel frame and burners coated with titanium for durability. The safety valve on each burner cuts the gas supply if the flame goes out, preventing unburned gas from accumulating. Controls for the three burners let the operator set different heat zones across the plate, so one section can sear steaks while another keeps pancakes warm.

An 8.7 kW power rating means the unit draws a significant load, requiring a dedicated gas supply and adequate ventilation. The 230 V electrical connection powers the ignition and safety systems. At 52 kg, the griddle is heavy enough to stay stable on a worktop but can be moved with a trolley. Cleaning involves removing the drip tray and washing it separately, then scraping the baking surface while still warm to lift residue. The stainless steel frame and burners wipe down with a damp cloth, and the titanium coating resists corrosion from frequent cleaning.
