A buffet display case that keeps dishes at a steady 60 °C across its entire glass surface, ensuring food stays warm without drying or cooling. The heated top plate radiates gentle, even heat from above, eliminating cold spots and preserving the texture and flavour of plated meals. This method relies on a low-temperature element embedded beneath the glass, which warms the surface without scorching or requiring direct contact with the food. The result is a consistent serving temperature that meets professional catering standards for hot buffets, carveries and self-service stations.

Operation begins by placing the dishes directly on the heated glass. The digital control panel allows the operator to set and monitor the 60 °C temperature, with no further adjustment needed during service. Integrated LED strips illuminate the shelves from below, casting an even glow that highlights the food while keeping the display cool to the touch. Two tempered-glass shelves sit inside the case, each lit by its own LED circuit, allowing the operator to stage multiple courses or dishes at once. The front and sides are fully glazed, giving diners an unobstructed view from any angle.

The unit is built on a stainless steel frame that supports the glass panels and houses the electrical components. The heated surface itself is a single sheet of tempered glass with protective edging, chosen for its thermal stability and resistance to impact. Below the glass, a high-pressure laminate worktop with a stone-effect finish provides a durable, non-slip base for the display. The back panel is available in a separate model (BUCV-T) for installations where wall clearance is limited.

Controls consist of a digital thermostat that maintains the 60 °C setting and a separate switch for the LED lighting. The 230 V, 50/60 Hz power requirement matches standard UK commercial circuits, allowing the case to run alongside other catering equipment without overloading the supply.

The 1300 mm width, 700 mm depth and 1390 mm height create a footprint that fits most buffet lines while leaving space for serving staff to move around. The weight of the unit, combined with its solid base, prevents tipping or shifting during service. The 60 °C temperature range is tailored for holding pre-cooked hot dishes, not for reheating or cooking, which keeps the appliance within food-safety guidelines for passive warming.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service, while the stainless steel frame and laminate top can be sanitised with standard kitchen cleaners. The LED strips are sealed behind the glass shelves, requiring no maintenance beyond occasional dusting of the exterior. The unit can be customised in colour and material finishes to match existing kitchen or dining décor, with options available at the time of order.

The BUCV is positioned in the SAYL catalogue under heated display equipment for professional catering and hospitality settings.
