A neutral display case keeps food at room temperature while protecting it from dust, handling and draughts. It does not cool or heat; instead, it relies on the ambient air of the shop or café to maintain the items at the same temperature as the surroundings. This method suits pastries, bread, sandwiches, cakes and other products that do not require refrigeration or warming, allowing them to be shown for several hours without spoilage or drying out.

The operator loads each of the three tiers from the front, sliding the tempered-glass doors to one side. Trays or loose items are placed on the adjustable shelf, which can be raised or lowered to fit different heights. Once the doors are closed, the double LED strips inside each tier switch on, casting an even light across the contents. The lights remain on while the case is in use, making the colours and textures of the food stand out to customers. When the display is no longer needed, the doors slide open again and the items are removed.

The case is built from stainless steel and tempered glass. Stainless steel forms the frame, the base and the top, while the glass creates the front, sides and shelves. Both materials resist scratches, impacts and the acids found in food, and they tolerate the frequent wiping and sanitising that professional kitchens require. The sliding doors lift off their tracks for thorough cleaning, and the absence of sharp corners simplifies wiping down the interior.

The controls consist of a single on-off switch for the LED lighting. When the switch is on, the lights illuminate all three tiers simultaneously.

The dimensions of 1190 mm wide, 395 mm deep and 465 mm high determine the space the case occupies on a counter or worktop. The width allows three full-size gastronorm trays to sit side by side, while the depth accommodates standard bakery trays without overhang. The height of 465 mm keeps the top shelf within easy reach of staff and clearly visible to customers.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then drying them to prevent water marks. The glass doors and shelves are cleaned the same way, and the doors are removed periodically to wash the tracks. The LED strips require no maintenance beyond occasional dusting with a soft brush.
