A hot display case keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature while presenting them under glass for customer choice. The SAYL Splendid CS3S uses an electric heating element beneath the food tray to maintain a steady 70 °C environment. Heat rises through the perforated base, warming the air inside the cabinet without direct contact. This gentle, even distribution prevents drying and preserves texture, making it suitable for sauces, roasts, vegetables and baked items that must stay moist and ready to serve.
The unit is loaded from the front or rear, allowing staff to replenish dishes without interrupting customer access. Place the filled gastronorm trays on the perforated base, close the sliding doors, and set the thermostat to 70 °C. The internal fan circulates the heated air, ensuring every tray reaches the same temperature. A transparent tempered-glass front and top let customers view the food while the sealed cabinet keeps heat in and contaminants out. When service ends, the trays are removed, the doors are opened, and the unit cools before cleaning.
Construction is AISI 304 stainless steel throughout the body and frame, chosen for its corrosion resistance and ease of sanitising. The glass panels are tempered for safety and clarity. A removable glass shelf inside the cabinet can be positioned at different heights to accommodate taller dishes or removed entirely for thorough cleaning. The drainage system collects condensation and spillage, directing it to an external outlet for quick disposal.
The 1020 mm width, 650 mm depth and 420 mm height create a compact footprint that fits on most worktops or worktops. The 230 V single-phase connection plugs into a standard kitchen circuit, drawing 1810 W to maintain temperature. The motor compartment is minimised, leaving more internal space for food trays.
Cleaning involves removing the glass shelf, wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent, and rinsing the drainage channel. The tempered glass panels can be cleaned with a glass cleaner once the unit has cooled. Regular maintenance keeps the cabinet hygienic and the heating element efficient.
The Splendid CS3S holds three GN1/1 trays with a 65 mm depth, allowing a single unit to display a full course or a selection of sides. Its dual-access design suits self-service counters, buffets and staffed service points alike.
