A refrigerated display case keeps chilled food and drink at serving temperature while showing them to customers through a glass front. The unit draws heat out of the cabinet with a fan-forced evaporator coil, circulating cold air evenly across every shelf. This ventilated cooling method prevents hot spots and keeps products at the set temperature without freezing them, making it suitable for delicate items like pastries and ready-to-eat meals.

The operator loads the five chromed wire shelves with products, then sets the desired temperature on the external digital display. The case maintains the range between -1 °C and +7 °C automatically, with an internal sensor adjusting the compressor and fan as needed. LED strips mounted along the side walls illuminate the contents, casting an even light that highlights colours and textures without adding heat. An automatic defrost cycle runs at intervals, melting any ice that forms on the coil and draining the water away without manual intervention.

To use the case, the operator wheels it into position on its four castors—two of which lock to hold the unit steady—plugs it into a 220-240 V 50 Hz supply, and switches it on. The digital display shows the current temperature and allows precise adjustment. Products remain visible and accessible through the full-height glass front, while the refrigeration system works continuously to keep them fresh.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel and aluminium, with a double-glazed front panel and chromed wire shelves. The refrigerant is R290a, a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential. The five shelves measure 493 mm by 518.5 mm and support up to 20 kg each, providing ample space for trays of sandwiches, cakes or bottles. The overall footprint is 590 mm wide by 598 mm deep, fitting against a wall or between counters, while the 1900 mm height allows eye-level display of products.

Controls consist of an electronic thermostat with an external digital display for setting and monitoring the temperature. The display also indicates when the automatic defrost cycle is active.

The 250 L volume provides space for a full day's stock of chilled products, while the 110.5 kg weight ensures stability once the brakes are engaged. The 5.797 kWh daily energy consumption reflects the efficiency of the ventilated cooling system and LED lighting, keeping running costs low for continuous operation.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass front, stainless-steel surfaces and chromed shelves with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The automatic defrost system eliminates the need to manually remove ice from the coil, reducing maintenance time.

An optional set of wine shelves can be fitted to adapt the case for bottle storage, maintaining the same temperature range while optimising the display for wine bottles.
