Scandomestic HOME Built-In Oven with Air Fry Function

A built-in oven that circulates hot air at high speed to crisp food without deep frying uses the same heating element and fan as a conventional oven, but the fan runs faster and directs the air through a narrower gap around the food. This concentrated flow strips away moisture from the surface, creating a dry crust while the inside stays moist. The method cuts oil use by up to three-quarters and still gives the texture of fried food.

The oven is installed behind a kitchen cupboard door, flush with the worktop. The 70 L cavity takes a full-size baking tray or two smaller ones side by side, so a main dish and sides can cook at once. The door opens downwards, and the supplied wire rack, deep pan, shallow pan and AirFry mesh tray slide in on runners. A knob selects one of ten programmes, including a dedicated Air Fry setting, true convection for even baking, and a defrost cycle that circulates room-temperature air to thaw food without starting to cook it.

Operation starts with loading the food, closing the door and turning the programme selector. A second knob sets the temperature, and a digital display shows the remaining time. Semi-touch controls let the user delay the start or stop the oven early without opening the door. A child lock prevents accidental changes once the programme is running.

The exterior is black glass with a minimalist display. Inside, the cavity is coated with easy-clean enamel, and the full-glass inner door can be removed without tools for washing. The door seal is replaceable, and the side rails that hold the trays clip off for cleaning.

The 595 mm width matches standard built-in cabinet cut-outs, and the 30.6 kg weight allows two people to lift it into place. The 220-240 V connection plugs into a standard UK domestic circuit.

Cleaning involves wiping the enamel cavity after each use, removing the door and trays for deeper cleaning, and replacing the seal when it shows wear. The supplied accessories are dishwasher-safe.

The oven is supplied with one wire rack, one deep pan, one shallow pan and one AirFry mesh tray.
