A microwave oven heats food by sending microwaves through it. These waves make the water molecules in the food vibrate, creating heat inside the food itself rather than on the surface. The result is faster, more even cooking and reheating than a conventional oven can provide. Because the heat starts inside, the food stays moist and the process uses less energy.

To use the MWS20B, place the food on the 25.5 cm turntable, close the door, and set the mechanical rotary knob to the desired time. The oven will run until the timer returns to zero. For defrosting, the same knob selects a pre-set cycle that thaws food gently over up to 35 minutes, preventing the outside from cooking while the inside remains frozen.

The cabinet is finished in black and measures 440 mm wide, 333 mm deep and 258 mm high, giving a 20 L interior volume. The 0.7 kW power rating means the oven draws a modest load from a standard 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase circuit, leaving capacity for other appliances on the same spur. The 10.2 kg weight allows the unit to be carried by one person and placed on a worktop or shelf without special reinforcement.

Mechanical controls consist of a single rotary knob that sets the cooking time or selects the defrost programme. The turntable is removable for cleaning, and the interior walls are smooth to wipe down after use.
