A static refrigerator keeps food chilled by circulating cool air naturally, without a fan. Cold air sinks from the evaporator at the back, creating a gentle downward flow that maintains an even temperature throughout the cabinet. This method avoids dehydration of uncovered items and reduces frost build-up, making it suitable for everyday storage of dairy, meats and prepared dishes.

The operator loads food onto the three safety-glass shelves or into the large vegetable drawer. The thermostat, positioned in the middle of the cabinet, is set to hold the interior between 2 °C and 8 °C. Once plugged into a 220–240 V supply, the unit runs continuously, drawing 0.349 kWh over 24 hours. The reversible door can be hinged on either side to fit the available space, and two adjustable front feet level the cabinet on uneven floors.

Construction is a white steel cabinet with a single door. Inside, the three shelves are made of tempered safety glass that resists breakage and wipes clean easily. A transparent-fronted vegetable drawer at the bottom allows quick identification of contents. The interior is lit by a vertical LED strip that switches on when the door opens.

The 92 L volume provides space for approximately a week's supply of fresh ingredients in a small professional kitchen. The 23.5 kg weight allows two people to move the unit without a trolley, while the 475 mm width fits through standard doorways and between worktops. The 2–8 °C temperature range covers most chilled storage needs, from raw poultry to ready-to-serve salads.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass shelves and interior walls with a damp cloth, then drying to prevent frost. The vegetable drawer lifts out for rinsing under a tap. The static cooling system requires occasional defrosting when ice builds up on the back wall, typically every three to six months depending on usage.
