Stainless steel
A planetary mixer uses a rotating beater that travels around the bowl while spinning on its own axis, ensuring every part of the mixture is reached without manual scraping. This motion folds, aerates and emulsifies ingredients evenly, making it essential for doughs, batters and creams in professional kitchens.
The bowl holds the ingredients while the mixer's beater moves through them. Its shape and depth allow the beater to reach the sides and bottom, preventing unmixed pockets and ensuring consistent texture. The operator loads the ingredients into the bowl, secures it to the mixer's base, selects the speed and starts the machine. The beater's path covers the entire volume, so the operator only needs to monitor the process and stop it when the desired consistency is reached.
This bowl is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning and durability under frequent use. The material does not react with acidic or alkaline ingredients, preserving the flavour and colour of the mixture.
Designed specifically for the SIGMA CHEF 7.5 planetary mixer, it locks into place on the mixer's base, ensuring stability during operation. The bowl's dimensions match the mixer's beater and arm, allowing the full range of motion without interference.
Cleaning involves removing the bowl from the mixer, washing it with warm water and detergent, and drying it thoroughly to prevent water spots. Stainless steel can be sanitised with standard kitchen chemicals without damage, making it suitable for high-turnover environments.
This is the standard bowl for the CHEF 7.5 model and fits no other mixer in the SIGMA range or from other manufacturers.
