Stalgast 1.2 Litre Plastic Catering Bowl

A plastic bowl holds ingredients, batters or prepared items without reacting with acids, salts or moisture. The smooth walls and rounded base let a spoon or whisk reach every part, so nothing sticks or is left behind. Because plastic does not conduct heat, the contents stay at the temperature they are put in, whether that is ice-cold marinade or warm dough.

To use the bowl, the operator pours or scoops the material in, stirs or mixes as needed, then lifts the bowl to pour or scrape the contents out. The rim is unbroken, so liquids do not slosh over the side. When the task is finished, the bowl is set aside or stacked with others of the same size.

The bowl is moulded in one piece from food-safe plastic. The walls and base are the same thickness throughout, giving even strength and no weak points. The surface is glossy, so it cleans quickly under a tap or in a sink.

The 144 mm diameter gives a wide opening that keeps ingredients from spilling when they are stirred. The 112 mm height allows the bowl to hold 1.2 litres without becoming too tall for comfortable handling. The footprint is small enough to fit on a crowded worktop or shelf, and the weight is light enough to lift with one hand.

Cleaning is done with hot water and a mild detergent. The bowl is not damaged by scrubbing pads or brushes, and it dries quickly in air. It is not suitable for a dishwasher or for direct heat, such as a hob or oven.
