Made of stainless steel, this stirring paddle is 1370 mm long. It is designed for convenient stirring and mixing of food in large-capacity pots in professional kitchens.
A commercial stirrer moves large volumes of liquid or semi-liquid mixtures without manual effort. An electric motor drives a vertical shaft fitted with paddles or whisk attachments. As the shaft rotates, the paddles create a vortex that draws ingredients from the sides of the vessel towards the centre, ensuring even blending and preventing separation. This method is used for soups, sauces, batters and emulsions where consistent texture is critical.
The operator places the vessel beneath the stirrer head, adjusts the height of the shaft so the paddles reach the correct depth, and secures the vessel to prevent movement. A single control starts and stops the motor; some models allow speed adjustment to suit different viscosities. Once mixing is complete, the shaft is raised, the vessel removed and the next batch prepared.
This Stalgast stirrer is constructed as a single vertical column with a fixed base. The 130 cm height allows it to clear the rim of deep stock pots and mixing bowls commonly used in professional kitchens. The column houses the motor and drive mechanism, while the shaft and attachments are exposed for easy cleaning.
Cleaning follows from the exposed construction: the shaft and paddles are detached, washed and dried separately. The column and base are wiped down with a damp cloth to remove splashes. No hidden cavities or sealed components require special attention.
The unit is catalogued under commercial food preparation equipment, specifically for mixing and stirring applications.
