A professional cooking range with four hobs and two neutral cupboards with door
An induction cooktop transfers energy directly into magnetic cookware by generating a high-frequency electromagnetic field beneath the ceramic surface. The field induces electric currents in the base of the pan, heating it without warming the hob itself. This method concentrates heat where it is needed, responds instantly to power changes and keeps the surrounding worktop cool, reducing accidental burns and making the kitchen safer during service.
The operator places induction-compatible cookware on one of the 250 mm hobs, selects a power level with the ergonomic knob and starts the programme. The utensil recognition system detects whether a pan is present and of the correct material; if not, the hob remains inactive. A residual heat indicator glows until the ceramic surface has cooled below a safe temperature. The automatic overheating protection system cuts power if the hob exceeds its operating limits, preventing damage to the unit and the cookware.
The cooktop is built on a stainless-steel frame with a laser-engraved front panel that carries the knobs and a digital display of work parameters. Four adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors. The hobs are flush with the work surface, allowing seamless integration into a worktop or island. A cookware efficient cooling system beneath each hob draws heat away from the electronics, extending the life of the components.
The 15 kW total power rating is distributed across the hobs, each drawing up to 3.5 kW. A 400 V three-phase supply is required, matching the standard circuit in professional kitchens. The 800 mm width and 700 mm depth fit a standard worktop cut-out, while the 850 mm height allows the operator to work comfortably without bending. The 250 mm hob diameter accepts larger pans and stockpots, reducing the need to transfer food between smaller vessels.
Cleaning involves wiping the ceramic surface with a damp cloth once it has cooled. The laser-engraved panel and knobs can be cleaned with a mild detergent; abrasives should be avoided to preserve the markings. The cooling system vents should be kept free of dust and grease to maintain airflow.
The unit is supplied without a combustion chimney; a chimney can be added as optional equipment. Adjustable feet allow the cooktop to be levelled on any floor surface.
