Cooking range with 4 burners
A gas cooker heats pots and pans directly by burning fuel at the hob. Gas flows through a valve to the burner, where it mixes with air and ignites. The flame transfers heat straight to the base of the pan, giving immediate control over the cooking temperature. A double-crown burner spreads the flame in two concentric rings, allowing a single burner to switch between a small, economical flame and a large, powerful one without changing the pan position.
The operator places a pan on the cast iron grid, opens the gas tap and lights the burner with the pilot flame. Each burner can be set to full power, reduced to one third for simmering, or turned off completely. The flame safety device shuts off the gas automatically if the flame goes out, preventing unburned gas from accumulating. Once cooking is finished, the pan is removed, the gas tap closed and the hob left to cool.
Construction is a stainless-steel frame with four burners arranged in a single row. The cast iron grids support heavy pots and distribute heat evenly across the pan base. A removable bowl beneath the burners catches spills and can be washed in a dishwasher. The feet adjust to level the cooker on uneven floors.
Controls are simple: one gas tap per burner with a knob that turns from off through economical flame to full power. The pilot flame is always lit when the gas supply is on, ready to ignite any burner the operator chooses.
A 24 kW power rating means the cooker draws a significant gas load, requiring a dedicated supply line sized for commercial catering equipment. The 800 mm width fits standard worktop depths and allows two chefs to work side by side without crowding. The 850 mm height matches most under-counter cupboards and wall shelves, keeping the hob at a comfortable working level.
Cleaning involves removing the grids and the spill bowl, washing them in hot water or a dishwasher, and wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth. The burners themselves are fixed but can be brushed free of debris once cool. Adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure the cooker remains level and stable.
The 700 series is also available in gas versions G27 and G31, offering the same burner configuration with different dimensions or additional features.
