Stalgast carbon steel pan Ø 280 mm with a non-stick coating. Provides convenient cooking without food sticking and is suitable for use on induction hobs.
A frying pan transfers heat directly from the hob to the food, creating a hot, even surface that sears and browns. Carbon steel conducts heat quickly and retains it well, so the pan responds fast to changes in temperature and distributes warmth evenly across its base. This makes it possible to cook delicate items like eggs or fish without hot spots that burn, while still giving a good crust to meats and vegetables.
The operator places the pan on an induction, gas or electric hob and preheats it briefly. Food is added once the surface is hot; the non-stick coating allows it to slide easily when turned or removed, reducing the need for extra oil. After cooking, the pan is left to cool, then wiped clean with a soft cloth or sponge to protect the coating.
The pan is made from carbon steel with a non-stick interior. Its flat base is induction-compatible, so it works on any standard catering hob. The 280 mm diameter gives enough room for single portions or small batches, while the low 40 mm wall keeps the pan light and easy to handle.
The single control is the heat setting on the hob, which adjusts how hot the pan becomes. No other dials or switches are fitted.
A 280 mm diameter means the pan fits comfortably on a standard worktop burner and can be stored in a cupboard with other small utensils. The 40 mm height keeps the centre of gravity low, so the pan is stable when lifted or tilted.
Cleaning is limited to the coated interior and the exterior. The non-stick surface should not be scrubbed with abrasive pads or metal utensils, as these can damage the coating. After each use, the pan is wiped with a damp cloth and dried to prevent rust.
The pan is supplied as a single unit without accessories or variants.
It is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under Cookware, Frying Pans.
