Cooking range with 4 burners
A gas cooking range built for continuous service in professional kitchens, the Stalgast 700 delivers controlled heat across four burners. Gas is fed to each burner head, where it mixes with air and is ignited by a standing pilot flame. The resulting ring of fire transfers heat directly to pots and pans without an intermediate surface, giving instant response to power adjustments and even distribution across the base of the cookware.
The hob is organised with two single-crown burners and one double-crown burner, allowing simultaneous cooking at different intensities. Each burner can be reduced to one-third of its maximum output, letting the chef hold sauces at a gentle simmer or bring large volumes to the boil without wasting fuel. A flame safety device cuts the gas supply if the flame is extinguished, preventing unburned gas from accumulating.
To start, the operator opens the gas supply, lights the pilot flame, then turns the control knob for the desired burner. The pilot ignites the main flame, which can be set anywhere between low and full power. Once cooking is complete, the knob is turned off and the flame extinguishes; the safety device confirms the flame is out before allowing the gas to shut off completely. The removable bowl beneath the burners catches spills and can be lifted out for cleaning in a dishwasher.
Construction is heavy-duty: cast iron grids support the cookware, adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors, and the entire assembly is housed in a stainless-steel frame. The range is supplied in versions for natural gas (G27) or propane/butane (G31), with the correct jets and regulator settings pre-installed.
The 22.5 kW total power rating indicates the load the range places on the gas supply; in practice this means the unit requires a dedicated gas line capable of delivering the necessary flow rate. The footprint of 800 mm by 700 mm fits standard worktop depths and allows side-by-side installation with other equipment. The 850 mm height places the burners at a comfortable working level for standing chefs.
Cleaning is straightforward: the cast iron grids and burner caps can be lifted off, the removable bowl is dishwasher-safe, and the stainless-steel surfaces can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure the hob remains level and stable.
Variants are available for different gas types: G27 for natural gas and G31 for propane or butane. The catalogue places this model in the heavy-duty gas cooking section, alongside ranges designed for high-volume catering operations.
