A dessert fork engineered for the pace of bars, cafés and bistros, where small plates and quick service set the rhythm. Unlike larger cutlery, it is sized to balance neatly on the edge of a dessert bowl or a small plate without overhang, keeping the place setting tidy and the diner's grip comfortable.
The fork's tines are shaped to lift delicate textures—meringue, mousse, layered sponge—without crushing or tearing. Their spacing and taper allow the tines to slide beneath a portion cleanly, while the gentle curve of the neck helps guide the food onto the plate without spillage. The handle is proportioned so that the weight of the fork rests just behind the fingers, reducing fatigue during repeated use.
To use, the server or diner simply picks up the fork by the handle, aligns the tines with the portion, and lifts. The single-piece construction means there are no joints to trap food or harbour moisture, so each fork remains hygienic through multiple services. After use, the fork is returned to the cutlery rack or tray for collection and washing.
Made from stainless steel, the fork resists corrosion and staining even after repeated exposure to acidic desserts and dishwasher cycles. The surface finish is smooth enough to prevent food adhesion but retains a slight texture to prevent slipping in wet hands.
The overall length of 140 mm keeps the fork compact enough for storage in standard cutlery organisers, yet long enough to reach the centre of a typical dessert bowl without the diner's fingers touching the rim.
This model is part of the Stalgast S4 cutlery range, designed for front-of-house service in compact dining spaces.
