An electric citrus juicer extracts juice by pressing halved fruit against a rotating reamer. The motor drives the reamer at speed, spinning the fruit against a ribbed surface that breaks open the pulp and releases the juice. A spout channels the liquid into a container while the pips and peel stay behind, caught by a strainer or ejected separately. This method yields more juice than hand-squeezing and requires no manual effort once the fruit is loaded.
To operate the juicer, place a glass or jug under the spout. Halve the citrus fruit and press one half, cut side down, onto the reamer. Switch the motor on; the reamer spins and the juice flows. When the fruit is spent, remove the rind and repeat with the next half. The motor stops when the switch is released, allowing continuous use without overheating.
The juicer is built from stainless steel and food-safe plastics. The reamer, spout and strainer are removable for cleaning. Its footprint of 396 mm by 287 mm by 212 mm fits on a standard worktop without crowding adjacent appliances.
A single switch controls the motor, starting and stopping the reamer instantly. The 230 V voltage matches the standard UK single-phase supply, so the juicer plugs into any kitchen socket without requiring a dedicated circuit.
The 0.23 kW power rating indicates a light electrical load, suitable for continuous use during service without tripping breakers or overheating wiring. The compact size and low power make the unit easy to move and store when not in use.
After each use, remove the reamer and strainer, wash them in warm soapy water, rinse and dry. Wipe the motor housing and spout with a damp cloth to remove any splashes. Regular cleaning prevents pulp build-up and keeps the juice flow clear.
The juicer is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under citrus extraction equipment.
