Stainless steel electric fryer
An electric fryer heats a measured volume of oil with an immersed element, raising the oil to the temperature set on the control. The basket lowers into the hot oil, cooking food evenly and quickly while the cold-zone system keeps crumbs and debris below the heating element, preventing them from burning and tainting the oil. This method gives consistent results with less oil degradation and easier cleaning between batches.
To use the fryer, fill the vat to the marked level with fresh oil and plug the unit into a 230 V supply. Set the temperature control knob between 60 °C and 200 °C according to the food being fried. Once the oil reaches the set temperature, lower the basket loaded with food into the oil and close the lid. Monitor the cooking time visually through the lid or by lifting the basket briefly. When the food is done, raise the basket, let the oil drain back into the vat, and transfer the food to a tray.
The fryer is built with a stainless-steel vat and a removable control panel for cleaning. The basket and lid have heat-resistant handgrips, and the basket measures 215 mm by 255 mm by 105 mm, allowing it to hold standard portions without crowding. The cold-zone system beneath the heating element collects debris, reducing the need to filter or replace oil as often.
A power rating of 2 kW indicates the load on the electrical circuit; the fryer should be connected to a dedicated socket capable of supplying that load continuously. The temperature range of 60 °C to 200 °C covers everything from gentle warming to deep frying, allowing the same unit to handle chips, fish, doughnuts and pre-cooked items. The 5 litre oil volume is sized for small to medium batches, keeping the fryer compact on the worktop. The overall footprint of 200 mm by 430 mm fits between other appliances or under cupboards, while the 5.3 kg weight allows the unit to be moved by one person when empty.
Cleaning involves removing the control panel and wiping it separately. The vat and cold zone can be drained and scrubbed, and the basket and lid are washed in hot soapy water. The heat-resistant handgrips on the basket and lid remain cool enough to handle even after use, reducing the risk of burns during cleaning.
The fryer is listed in the catalogue under countertop electric fryers for professional kitchens.
