Stalgast Folding Work Bench for Indoor and Outdoor Use

A work bench that folds flat for storage and transport, designed to support heavy loads in professional kitchens, outdoor catering events and temporary workstations. The flat surface provides a stable area for food preparation, plating or holding equipment, while the folding mechanism allows the bench to be collapsed when not in use, freeing up floor space.

The bench is built around a rigid frame that bears the weight of ingredients, appliances or containers placed on top. Painted steel components form the legs and cross-braces, giving the structure strength without excessive weight. The top is made of polyethylene, a material that resists moisture, stains and impact, making it suitable for both wet and dry tasks. When the bench is no longer needed, the legs fold inward and the top can be lowered, reducing the footprint to less than half its working size.

To set up the bench, the operator lifts the top to its horizontal position, then swings the legs outward until they lock into place. The painted steel feet rest on the floor, providing stability without slipping. Once the bench is loaded, the weight is distributed across the frame, which is rated to carry up to 300 kg. When the task is complete, the load is removed, the legs are unlocked and folded, and the top is lowered again, allowing the bench to be stored in a cupboard, on a shelf or in a van.

The polyethylene top is non-porous and easy to wipe clean with a cloth or sanitiser. Painted steel components can be wiped down with a damp cloth, but should not be submerged or scrubbed with abrasive pads, as this can damage the finish. The bench is light enough to be carried by one person, yet sturdy enough to hold heavy appliances or bulk ingredients during service.

The bench folds to a compact size of 910 mm long, 280 mm wide and 90 mm high, making it practical for venues where space is limited or where equipment must be moved frequently. Despite its light weight, the bench remains stable under load, with no wobble or flex when used on a level surface.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the bench can be deployed in kitchens, at food festivals, in mobile catering units or on patios where temporary work space is required.
