Cooking range with 6 burners
A gas cooker built for high-volume professional kitchens, the Stalgast 700 combines six burners in a single worktop unit. Gas burners transfer heat directly to pots and pans through an open flame, eliminating the delay of electric elements and allowing instant adjustment of intensity. The flame itself is controlled by a valve that meters the gas flow, while a pilot flame remains lit to ignite each burner on demand. A flame safety device cuts the gas supply if the flame extinguishes, preventing unburned gas from accumulating. Each burner can also be reduced to one-third of its maximum output, providing an economical low flame for simmering or holding without wasting fuel. The operator begins by selecting the required burner and turning the control knob to the pilot position, which lights the small standing flame. Once the pilot is confirmed, the knob is turned further to release the main gas flow, producing the full burner flame. The adjustable feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors, ensuring stable placement of heavy pots. A removable bowl beneath the burners catches spills and can be lifted out for cleaning in a dishwasher, reducing manual scrubbing. The cooker is constructed with a stainless-steel body and cast-iron grids that support heavy pots while allowing heat to rise freely. The burners are arranged in a double-crown configuration, with outputs ranging from 3.5 kW to 9 kW, enabling simultaneous use of small saucepans and large stockpots. Controls consist of six knobs, each regulating the gas flow to its corresponding burner and incorporating the pilot ignition and flame safety functions. The 36.5 kW total power rating indicates the maximum gas load the cooker draws, requiring a suitably sized gas supply line and adequate ventilation in the kitchen. The 1200 mm width fits standard worktop runs, while the 700 mm depth leaves space for rear clearance and hose connections. The 850 mm height places the burners at a comfortable working level for standing chefs. Cleaning involves removing the cast-iron grids and lifting out the dishwasher-safe bowl, then wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth. Adjustable feet let you steady the cooker on uneven kitchen floors so heavy stockpots stay centred over the burners without wobbling. The cooker is available in alternative gas versions G27 and G31, allowing compatibility with different regional gas supplies.
