Cooking range with 4 burners
A gas cooker built for heavy service in professional kitchens, the Stalgast 900 combines four high-output burners on a single 900 mm worktop. Each burner draws gas through a dedicated valve and mixes it with air in a Venturi tube before ignition. The double-crown configuration creates two concentric rings of flame, spreading heat evenly across the base of pots and pans. A pilot flame remains lit to ensure instant ignition when the valve is opened, while a flame-failure device cuts the gas supply if the flame is accidentally extinguished, preventing unburned gas from accumulating.
To operate, the chef selects the desired burner, opens the gas valve and lights the pilot if it is not already alight. The control knob adjusts the flame from full power down to one-third for simmering or holding. Once cooking is complete, the knob is turned off and the flame safety device shuts the gas automatically. The removable bowl beneath the burners catches spills and can be lifted out for cleaning in a dishwasher.
The hob is constructed from stainless steel with cast iron burner grids that support heavy pots without warping. Four adjustable feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors. A removable, dishwasher-safe drip bowl simplifies daily cleaning, while the cast iron grids can be lifted off for scrubbing or soaking. The gas connection accepts either natural gas (G27) or propane/butane (G31), with the appropriate injector kit supplied according to the version ordered.
The total power output of 24.5 kW is distributed across four burners, giving the chef precise control over heat levels from a gentle simmer to rapid boiling. The 900 mm width matches standard worktop depths and fits into most commercial kitchen layouts without overhang. The 850 mm height allows comfortable standing use, while the adjustable feet ensure the hob remains stable on sloping floors.
Two gas versions are available: one for natural gas (G27) and one for propane/butane (G31). The correct version must be specified at the time of order to ensure safe and efficient operation.
