Induction hob with a diameter of 340 mm and power of 5 kW. Dedicated for large pots of 50 to 100 l
An induction cooktop transfers energy directly into the base of a ferrous pot without heating the surface itself. A high-frequency electromagnetic field induces eddy currents in the metal, generating heat only where the pot touches the ceramic plate. This method eliminates wasted energy, speeds up heating and gives instant control over the power level.
The operator places a compatible pot on the ceramic plate, adjusts the feet to level the unit, and selects one of nine power settings with the ergonomic knob. A built-in pot detection system activates the field only when a suitable pot is present, preventing accidental activation. The display shows the current power level and any active settings. Cooling fans run continuously to protect the electronics and extend the life of the ceramic plate.
The cooktop is built on a stainless-steel chassis with a single robust ceramic cooking surface. Adjustable feet allow the unit to sit level on uneven worktops. The control panel is angled for easy reading and operation.
A 5 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, which is standard in professional kitchens for high-demand appliances. The 500 mm square footprint fits on most worktops while leaving space for large 50–100 L stock pots. The 380 mm height keeps the cooking surface at a comfortable working level.
Cleaning is limited to the ceramic plate and the control panel. The smooth ceramic surface can be wiped down after each use; the cooling vents should be kept free of dust and grease to maintain airflow. The pot detection system and display require no special upkeep beyond occasional wiping with a damp cloth.
The cooktop is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under induction hobs for bulk cooking and large-volume preparation.
