Cast iron and stainless steel electric meat mincer
A meat mincer of this type drives a helical worm screw that presses whole cuts of meat against a perforated strainer. The screw turns inside a stainless-steel tube, forcing the meat through the holes in the strainer plate to produce evenly minced product. The continuous rotary motion keeps the feed steady and the output consistent, making it suitable for bulk preparation in professional kitchens.
The operator loads the hopper with chilled meat, switches the unit on, and guides the pieces into the feed throat. The worm screw conveys the meat forward, compresses it, and extrudes it through the chosen strainer. If the strainer becomes clogged, the reverse function spins the screw backwards to clear the blockage without dismantling the head. Once the batch is complete, the operator removes the strainer and worm screw for cleaning.
Construction centres on a worm screw cast from a special aluminium alloy that resists corrosion and wear. The housing is stainless steel, and non-slip rubber feet keep the unit stable on a worktop during operation. Two strainers are supplied: 6 mm for fine mince and 8 mm for coarser texture.
The 0.8 kW motor draws power from a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, allowing the mincer to run continuously for up to eight hours without overheating. The footprint of 410 mm wide by 328 mm deep fits on most worktops, while the 410 mm height keeps the feed throat at a comfortable working level.
Cleaning involves removing the strainer and worm screw, washing them in warm water with detergent, and drying thoroughly before reassembly. The aluminium alloy screw should not be left wet to prevent surface oxidation. The non-slip feet are wiped down with a damp cloth to maintain grip.
Two strainer sizes are included: 6 mm and 8 mm, allowing the operator to switch between fine and coarse mince without additional accessories.
The mincer is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under commercial food preparation equipment for butcheries, catering kitchens and large-scale meal production.
