Stainless steel skimmer, Ø 120 mm. Suitable for removing foam, fat, and other impurities from broths, soups, sauces, and oil.
A skimmer removes foam, fat and fine debris from the surface of stocks, soups and frying oil without disturbing the liquid beneath. The perforated bowl sits on the surface, letting liquid drain through while the impurities stay on top. The operator lifts the skimmer, lets the liquid run off, then transfers the collected waste to a separate container. This keeps the main vessel clean and reduces the need for frequent straining or decanting.
The Stalgast Monoblock Skimmer is formed from a single piece of stainless steel, so there are no seams, welds or crevices where food particles can lodge. The bowl is 120 mm across, giving enough surface area to skim a large pot in one pass. The handle is 360 mm long and gently curved, letting the operator reach the centre of deep vessels without leaning over the rim. A small hook at the end allows the skimmer to be hung on a rail or peg when not in use, keeping the worktop clear.
To use the skimmer, lower the bowl onto the surface of the liquid, move it gently to gather foam or fat, then lift it clear. The perforations let the liquid drain back into the pot while the impurities remain in the bowl. When the bowl is full, tap it against the rim to shake off excess liquid, then empty the contents into a waste bin or separate container. The process is repeated until the surface is clear.
The one-piece construction is made from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, heat and repeated washing. The handle is smooth and free of sharp edges, so it can be gripped comfortably for extended periods. The skimmer is dishwasher safe, which simplifies cleaning after each service.
The 360 mm handle length allows the skimmer to reach the bottom of deep stock pots without the operator having to stretch or balance over hot liquids. The 120 mm bowl diameter gives a wide working area, reducing the number of passes needed to clear a large surface. The absence of welds or joints means there are no hidden areas that can trap food particles, making hygiene easier to maintain.
The skimmer is supplied as a single article, with no variants or additional parts. It is a hand tool and requires no electrical supply or additional equipment to operate.
