Stalgast Monoblock Skimmer Spoon Ø 100 mm

A skimmer spoon lifts foam, fat and small debris from the surface of hot liquids without disturbing the stock or sauce beneath. The perforated bowl lets the liquid drain through while the solids stay on the mesh, leaving the cooking medium clear and ready for the next stage.

The Stalgast Monoblock skimmer spoon is formed from a single piece of stainless steel, so there are no seams, welds or crevices where food particles can lodge. The bowl measures 100 mm across, giving enough working area to skim a stockpot or deep fryer in a single pass. The handle curves gently away from the bowl and extends 305 mm, keeping the operator's hand clear of steam and splashes while providing leverage for lifting heavier loads.

To use the spoon, lower the bowl flat onto the surface of the liquid, then draw it slowly towards the rim of the vessel. The perforations allow the liquid to escape while the solids collect on the mesh. Lift the spoon, let it drain briefly, then transfer the contents to a waste container or strainer. The curved handle hooks over the rim of a pot or the edge of a worktop for hands-free storage between uses.

The one-piece construction is made from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, staining and high temperatures. The material is non-reactive, so it will not impart flavours or discolour acidic or alkaline liquids. The entire spoon is dishwasher-safe, allowing thorough cleaning without manual scrubbing of hard-to-reach areas.
